Alfabs announces 2023 Apprentice Program

Alfabs Group is proud to announce our 2023 Apprentice Program offering seven new apprenticeships and three mature-age apprenticeships.

Alfabs hosts 22 apprentices and trainees across the Group are predominantly Boilermakers, Fitters, Light Vehicle Mechanics and Industrial Painters. In 2023 Alfabs will be adding a further:

  • Alfabs Engineering – four first year Boilermakers plus two mature age apprenticeships
  • Alfabs Mining Kurri Kurri – two first year Fitters plus one mature age apprenticeship
  • Alfabs Mining Unanderra – one first year Fitter

Lisa Lamond, Group Manager HR/HSEQ says “Alfabs prides itself on training trades for our future. Often apprenticeship candidates ask what will happen after the completion of their apprenticeship and we are quick to instil from the beginning that we want our apprentices to enjoy a long employment relationship with Alfabs.”

Alfabs is anticipating a large intake for 2023 with a focus on transitioning existing team members into learning opportunities. “We have a number of good people in trade assistant or support roles who have expressed an interest in undertaking their apprenticeship” says Lisa Lamond, “2023 will see us step those Alfabs people into long-term training opportunities so we can help our people achieve their goal of completing an apprenticeship”.

Applications for apprenticeships for 2023 have closed.
